About Insane Stays
Insane Stays is a vacation rental brand founded in Crystal Beach, Texas on the Bolivar Peninsula. We pick beach houses that go way beyond the basics: properties loaded with the kind of amenities that make the house itself part of the vacation.
Our founder, James, built Insane Stays around a simple observation: most vacation rentals are just... a place to sleep. The house itself is forgettable. We wanted the opposite: stays so packed with fun that guests never want to leave.
What makes us different
Private sport courts
Our properties feature private pickleball and basketball courts. No driving to public courts. No waiting for an open slot. Walk out your back door and play.
Entertainment built in
Game rooms with arcade cabinets, air hockey, and board games. Tiki bars and fire pits for evening hangouts. We design for fun.
Walkable beach access
Every property is steps from the sand. No cars, no parking fees, no shuttle rides.
Family-first design
Bunk rooms for kids, fenced backyards for pets, stocked kitchens for group meals, and high chairs for the littlest guests.

Where we are
Our first property, Pickle Beach, is in Crystal Beach, Texas: a laid-back, uncrowded beach town on the Bolivar Peninsula. Crystal Beach is about 90 minutes from Houston and a free ferry ride from Galveston.
